Updated by Quetta Networks Legal Team: Mar 28, 2024

We’re Quetta, Quetta is created by Quetta Networks Limited. And we’re passionate about creating a safe and secure browsing experience for you. That’s why we want to explain how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. We’ll do our best to make sure you feel comfortable and in control every step of the way.

This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and grant you control over your data and information. The requirements and obligations of GDPR are among the strictest privacy controls in the world. Quetta meets the requirements of the GDPR.

First things first: we don’t collect any personal information from you unless you choose to give it to us. And even then, we only use it for things like improving our services, communicating with you, and making sure everything runs smoothly. We won’t sell your info to anyone or use it for anything shady. Promise!

Data collection and use

Quetta does not ask you to log in or create an account, nor does it collect personal information about you. For us, “personal information” means information that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address, or billing information) or information that can be directly linked or combined to provide a link that identifies you (such as a device ID). Any information that does not fall within this scope is “non-personal information”.

We may use your anonymized data for the following specific purposes to improve our products and services, but you have full control over your data. You can opt out of data collection for any purpose, or even maintain zero data collection.

Diagnostics and crash reports

When Quetta crashes or freezes, it creates a report that can be sent to us to help us diagnose and fix whatever is causing the problem. This report contains data about the cause of the crash as well as the memory and execution state of the device during the crash. This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you.

You can choose whether or not to send us these reports, and you can turn off diagnostic and crash reporting in the settings.

Analytics and product improvements

Quetta sends us anonymous reports about your interactions with Quetta to help us improve our products and services. Any information contained therein does not involve your personal information or private data. The report only describes general browser usage, such as the length of the browser session, how many tabs were opened, and whether specific features were used.

For our websites and applications, we use Mixpanel from Mixpanel, Inc. to store and analyze anonymized data, you can view their privacy policy here: https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy. This data is not personal and cannot be combined to identify you. We have no way of knowing who you are, which pages you visit and anything you enter within them. You can disable the anonymous product analytics in the app settings.

User size estimates

When you install or launch Quetta, it anonymously sends us data without any personal information so that we can estimate the size of Quetta’s current active user base. This data does not relate to any of your usage behavior and cannot be used to identify you.

You can choose whether or not to send us these reports, and you can turn off anonymous daily usage pings in your settings.

Security

We follow strict security protocols to protect your data from unauthorized access, and we never share your info with anyone unless we have your permission. Quetta will protect the personal information provided by you with safety protection measures conforming to industry standards to prevent unauthorized access, unauthorized public disclosure, unauthorized use, unauthorized modification, damage or loss of data.

The Internet is not absolutely safe. We strongly recommend that you should not send personal information through such means.

After an unfortunate personal information security incident occurs, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to conduct the assessment of the data breach to determine whether it should be notified to the relevant authority or affected individuals. Where we assess that a data breach is a notifiable data breach, we will notify the relevant authority or affected individual (as the case may be) as soon as is practicable.

Quetta only keeps user information in accordance with this policy. When our products or services are ceased, we will notify you in the form of notification, announcement, etc., and delete your personal information or anonymize it within 90 days, unless otherwise required by relevant law.

Quetta strives to provide security for users’ information to prevent loss, improper use, unauthorized access or disclosure of information. Quetta will comprehensively use various security protection measures within a reasonable security level to ensure information security.
